MATIN is a four-album series of quiet songs and hymns recorded at sunrise. The Matin Tour will be peaceful and honest evenings of creativity and connection, that feel sonically familiar for those who listen to the MATIN project. 

A singer-songwriter, producer, and creative voice rooted in North Carolina, Jess Ray creates music for those who are searching — blending innovative sounds with meditations on life, faith, and the human experience.

Over the past decade, Jess’ path has carried her through a wide range of spaces — from house concerts to historic venues like the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and from solo performances to collaborations with some of her musical heroes.

With every song, she draws from a deep well of influences, creating music that leaves a lasting imprint on the heart. There’s a place for everyone in Jess’ community of friendly-folk music. You’re invited to come as you are, to listen, to sing, and to share in a night that feels both deeply personal and beautifully communal.

About Thomas Austin:
Thomas Austin is a theo-folk singer and writer who really doesn’t like writing about himself in the third person, but here he is, doing it anyway.
He has released two EPs, Indiana and Evergreen, and one full-length album, Eternal Life, which you can find anywhere music is streamed, sold, or held ransom. He also writes stories and essays which he sends to his email list. He lives in Nashville with his wife Skye.
