Composting not only reduces the amount of trash in landfills, but also can save money on soil for your yard, garden, or flower beds. Learn the science behind and the benefits of home composting, including information on different composting methods, recommended compostable materials, and common uses of compost around the yard and garden. U of M Extension Master Gardener volunteers are eager to share research-based gardening best practices that promote healthy landscapes, healthy foods, and healthy lives with the people in their community.
Instructor: Ramsey County Master Gardener
Cost: $5/free for co-op owners
This class will be offered online via the Zoom app so you won’t have to leave your house. After registration, an email link to join this presentation through Zoom will be emailed to you as well as a handout that we will be using in the class. Please plan to connect to the Zoom meeting 5-10 minutes early to troubleshoot the technology and get settled in before class starts.
