Taking Substance Use Disorder & Suicide Prevention to New Altitudes!

Utah State University Extension, Southeastern Utah Health Department, and Four Corners Community Behavioral Health are excited to present the 2025 Elevating Hope Summit! This year’s event theme, “Taking Substance Use Disorder and Suicide Prevention to New Altitudes”, reflects our commitment to sharing ideas, strategies, and best practices to address the critical issues of substance use disorder and suicide prevention, which can have overlap and require a collaborative approach from many different sectors.

The summit provides health and well-being professionals inspiring sessions that emphasize the many roles that are crucial to play in preventing substance use disorders and preventing suicide in the state of Utah.

Join us in Price, Utah, on March 19-21, 2025 to gather, engage, and collaborate with other experts in the field, law enforcement, community members, and more! The pre-conference on Wednesday, March 19th from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm is reserved for our law enforcement professionals, first responders, and care teams.

Learn from and connect with experts in the field as well as those with boots on the ground, including mental health professionals, law enforcement and first responders, prevention specialists, medical providers, and more. The 2025 Elevating Hope Summit will offer statewide resources for mental health and wellness, including whole-person resources and activities throughout the summit. CEUs are available.

All paid registrants will receive a welcome bag at check-in and must be present in person to receive one. Please register by Wednesday, March 5th.

Summit Highlights include:

  • Keynote Addresses (e.g., nationally renowned presenter, Sarah W. Gaer, Suicide Prevention & Trauma Response Specialist will be presenting on Soul Exhaustion and Soul Care for professionals)
  • Tips and healing for professionals in the field
  • Breaks throughout for self-care and visiting resource booths
  • Breakfast and lunch provided
  • March 19th – Pre-conference for law enforcement (Psychological First Aid)
  • March 19th – Professional Development Opportunity (open to all, limited space)3:30 pm – 5:30 pm – Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) and Narcan trainings!
  • March 20th – Data experts, advocacy experts, and wellbeing for professionals!
  • March 21st – Symposiums for suicide prevention and substance use prevention!
  • Continuing Education Units (CEUs) (Up to 11.5 Hours), that also fulfill many of the American Academy of the College of Nursing (AACN) competencies for nursing students
  • Community scholarships available
