Second Annual Chili Cook Off

Join us on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 4:30 PM – 7 PM for a fun chili Cookoff at the NC FOP Lodge 1 in Asheville, NC

PROCEEDS: This years competion will benefit Valley Strong Disaster Relief, helping support the needs of individuals, families, and communities in our area affected by Hurricane Helene.

COST TO ATTEND: $20/person includes Chili Supper & raffle ticket

SPONSOR: Only 5 tickets available at $400/ticket

COMPETITOR: Only 20 tickets available for competition at $100/ticket

TO COMPETE: Entry cost is $100 /entry- each person/team can enter up to TWO chilis

RULES:Chili is defined as any kind of meat, combination of meats, beans, or vegetables cooked with chili peppers, various spices, and other ingredients.
Up to two entries per person, group, or restaurant allowed.
All ingredients must be pre-cooked before the event. Chili is to be brought ready to eat. Chili must be brought to the competition in a crock pot to reheat/keep warm.
Competitors must practice safe food handling at all times, on and off site, in preparation of their Chili entry.
Each contestant must prepare enough chili for minimum of 25 servings
Serving bowls and utensils will be provided.

Competition will be limited to the first 20 persons/teams to enter! Entries will be blind judged by our volunteer judges and winners will receive trophies! There will be raffle prizes, a donation based on-site bake sale (proceeds from that will be donated to support First Responder Mental Health assistance) and we will also have a 50/50 raffle!
