What is Maslenitsa, and how did our ancestors celebrate it?
Maslenitsa is an ancient Slavic festival symbolizing the farewell to winter and the arrival of long-awaited spring.
It’s a time for joy, unity, and celebration! Burning the effigy of winter, sledding, feasting on pancakes, and playing traditional games were all integral parts of this festival that warmed people’s hearts in those distant days
