Ilya Shterenberg, clarinet Vadim Gluzman, violin & leader Schnittke (arr. Spivakov) – Suite in the Old Style Mozart – Clarinet Concerto Schubert (arr. Mahler) – Death and the Maiden Creative Partner and esteemed violinist Vadim Gluzman leads an extraordinary evening of virtuosity and versatility. Schnittke’s “Suite in the Old Style,” a nod to the Baroque era, is followed by Mozart’s lively Clarinet Concerto, featuring ProMusica’s principal clarinetist, Ilya Shterenberg. The program concludes with Mahler’s arrangement of Schubert’s “Death and the Maiden,” one of the great cornerstones of the chamber music repertoire.
