Welcome to the NOLA Mardi Gras Retreat!
The Village is excited to embark on our maiden voyage to NOLA to laisse les bons moments rouler! If you have yet to experience the joy de vivre of Mardi Gras, let us help you check it off your bucket list!
Get ready to join co-hosts, Michelle and Karen, for four days full of fun, music, and celebration in the heart of New Orleans. Join us February 26 – March 2, as we immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture of Mardi Gras, enjoy delicious food, and watch parades street side while letting the good times roll!
The Francois part of the family on Michelle’s side has deep roots in Louisiana, so it’s like coming home! Karen can’t wait to put her paranormal expertise to use as we stay in one of the most haunted cities in America!
There will be plenty of opportunities to take in all that New Orleans has to offer. Lets wander under the gigantic Oaks at Audubon Park, and sip coffee with beignets at the famous Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter. Let’s catch beads during parades, devour Gumbo and King Cake, and tap our feet to the passing marching bands. Additionally, optional tours will be available such as: Food & Bites Tour, Swamp Tour, Plantation Tour, and Garden Walk and Cemetery Tour (subject to interest of group).
We will be staying in a comfy cozy, 2300 square foot iconic shotgun home (original to NOLA), conveniently located within walking distance to the all things, including cable cars.

As a shamanic practitioner, Karen works with clients from all over the world to bring them healing in the form(s) of vibrational medicine, meditation, art, nature, color, kindness and much more. By bringing community together, Karen loves to teach others how easy it is to bring balance & beauty into their lives. Karen is also versed in paranormal expertise, and will be using her skills in one of the most haunted cities in America.

Michelle Francois-Walsh : Community Builder, Soul Sauce Writing Facilitator
Michelle is an educator, spiritual seeker, and creator of My Village Well. Michelle’s innate use of vulnerability, a disarming sense of humor, and her contagious zest for life, have created a safe haven where individuals are seen and community is a lifeline. Using her five daughters as inspiration, Michelle develops Workshop and Retreat curriculum around topics such as: courage, positive body image, and creating healthy boundaries. Michelle fiercely believes in helping others step into their infinite Divine potential. She is excited to be heading back to her roots for this Retreat!
