Join us on a once in a lifetime adventure to see wildlife such as brown bears, orcas, humpback whales, dall sheep, caribou, moose, eagles and more! Experience Alaska’s scenic rivers and mountains!
EXPERIENCE:
Guests will be able to see 3 of Alaska’s best national parks on this adventure! We begin our adventure in Anchorage and migrate north to Denali. As we migrate north to Denali your guide will stop along the way to view rivers, fish weirs, and mountains. Fingers crossed Denali, North America’s highest mountain, is out and visible!
Once we are in the Denali area going into the park is a real treat. We often see moose, caribou, grizzly bears, dall sheep, with occasional sightings of wolves, ptarmigan and eagles! We will also see a sled dog demonstration by the Denali Park Rangers. These are the only working sled dogs in a national park and are crucial for park management in winter!
From Denali, we head to the Kenai Peninsula to Seward, which on the shores of Resurrection Bay and the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park! Along the way, we will drive by the Chugach Mountains, the Knik and Turnagain Arms, and even take a short hike to Byron Glacier. In Seward, you will have your choice of activity on your free day: Kenai Fjords Ocean Cruise, sea kayaking and boat ride, or an ocean fishing trip. Before leaving, we will visit the Alaska Sea Life Center in Seward, Alaskas premier public aquarium and Alaskas only permanent marine mammal rehabilitation facility.
Leaving Seward, we will travel to Homer, which sits on Kachemak Bay. Here you will have a chance to explore the Homer spit with its bustling marina, charming shops, galleries, restaurants and bars.
We will then leave by sea plane to fly to Bear Mountain Lodge on Chinitna Bay, a very remote, yet comfortable lodge in Lake Clark National Park. Here, we will see brown bears in their natural habitat. Guests may see anywhere from 5-20 bears per day! Watching the bears feed on the salt grass and the tidal flats while interacting with each other is a memory our guests never forget!
Taking this adventure with our experienced guides, great touring vans, and the available activities to enjoy will be the vacation you and yours talk about for years to come! We look forward to hosting you to share our beautiful Alaska!
