Experience the best of Los Angeles with your expert private guide. Ideal for first time visitors and travelers seeking a personalized experience, this 3-hour driving tour can be customized according to your preferences and the iconic landmarks.
EXPERIENCE:
After meeting your friendly local guide in the hotel lobby, the first stop of your entertaining and informative tour will take you to vibrant Chinatown. Stroll through unabashedly touristy Central Plaza, sample Peking duck and Boba tea at West Plaza and purchase a lucky bamboo at Far East Plaza (at your own expense). Get snapping with colorful Thien Hau Temple and enjoy a drink at iconic kitschy Hop Louie Bar. Soak up Mexican vibes rambling along the legendary Olvera Street and check El Pueblo off your list by strolling through LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes. You’ll also tour grand Union Station, stare at the ornate altar of Plaza Catholic Church and get insight into Californian life before the 20th century visiting the Avila Adobe Museum.
Your third stop will be the Little Tokyo neighborhood, home to a Japanese-American community and ultimate destination for some of LA’s best Japanese eateries and authentic markets. Find your zen among the greenery of the scenic Japanese Garden, admire Koyasan Buddhist Temple and Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple. See the list of more than 16,000 names of Nisei veterans immortalized in the semicircular Go For Broke Monument, check out exhibits at Union Center for the Arts and feast your eyes at the Home is Little Tokyo mural. Your tour will conclude at one of the cafes in Little Tokyo or you will continue on to downtown LA if you opt for a 4-hour tour.
You’ll pass by the Civic Center and Bunker Hill on your way to the Financial District, where you’ll eye up to the gorgeous architecture of the Central Library, the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, US Bank Tower and California’s tallest Wilshire Grand Center. Next, you’ll cruise to the historic core to peer up at the magnificent Eastern Columbia Building and get an overview of 12 historic movie theaters built between 1910 and 1931 on Broadway. Hear fun facts about the theater at Ace Hotel and capture an iconic shot with timeless Bradbury Building. Afterwards, take your time to marvel at the graffiti and murals of the downtown’s Arts District, recognized as the mecca of street art. Your tour will end at Pershing Square or back at your hotel if it’s somewhere nearby (to be discussed with your guide).
