Join us to cultivate connections to grow your knowledge and collaborate with other females in the agriculture and natural resources fields.

The 2025 SC Women’s Agricultural Network Conference will be held on February 28 and March 1, 2025.

February 28 is Pre-Conference Farm Tours. You will meet at your first stop at 1:00 PM. Participants can pick between two tour options.

  1. Fillies and Forests: Great Oak and Hitchcock Woods: Pasture Management, Feed Selection, Hay Storage, Manure Management, Horse Care, Longleaf Pine Ecosystem, Prescribed Fire
  2. Peaches and Pecans: Yon Family Farms and Titan: Agritourism, Peaches, Spring Vegetables, Production Beef Cattle, Pecans

March 1 is an all-day educational conference at Cedar Creek Church in Aiken, SC. Registration will open at 8:00 AM, and participants will have time to visit with sponsors, enjoy refreshments and begin cultivating new connections. The Conference will officially kick off at 8:30 AM and we will conclude by 5:00 PM. Anyone supporting the goals of the Conference is welcome to attend.

Conference Goals:

  1. To create a space for individuals to cultivate relationships.
  2. To provide opportunities for participants to connect with leaders in the agriculture community of South Carolina.
  3. To educate participants on a variety of agricultural topics.

Saturday is going to be a fantastic day of learning and networking. Here is what you can expect for breakout sessions throughout the day.

This year, we will have two 90 minute super sessions.

The morning super session focuses on Forages Management for Livestock Producers.

· Pasture Management with Nicole Correa & Amber Starnes

· Silvopasture with Dr. Liliane Silva and Janet Steele

The afternoon super session focuses on Farm Income Tax Basics.

· Business Schedules C & F with Kevin Burkett

· Family Labor Considerations with Dr. Adam Kantrovich

All other breakout sessions will be 45 minutes with 15 minute breaks in-between.

· Agritourism: Diversifying your Farm to Attract Guests with Kathy McCaskill, Old McCaskills Farm

· Panel Discussion: Developing Innovative Tools and Products for Today’s Growers with Tiffany Rufus, Freedom Harvest and Katie Martin, Black Box Biologicals

· Is your Farm Agri-Able? With Lance Beecher

·Elevating Cut Flowers on the Farm with Carmen Ketron

· Regenerative Grazing for Small Ruminants with Deb Webster, Whispering Pines

· Pollinators: They Need Us, We Need Them with Susan Jones, Susan Marie’s Bees
